Here's your German lesson for the day. das Schloss = the Castle. Das Heidelberge Schloss really is pretty darn cool. It was destroyed first in 1622, then rebuilt by Karl-Ludwig, and finally destroyed again during the War of Succession in 1693.

The highlight of Heidelberg Castle: the giant keg. There's a dance floor on top.
"The Tower That Leapt". It is so named, because it "leapt" when the French stuck dynamite in it.
Heidelberg's mascot, Perkeo. Named for when offered wine, the Italian answered, "porque no?"
